The Membership Engagement Manager is responsible for implementing membership operations and programming initiatives for designated societies to enhance member value. Efforts will align with the strategic goals of the organization and address the needs of the membership.


MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

MEMBERSHIP OPERATIONS

Act as a database specialist by maintaining a high level of expertise with the membership database and related programs; provide training and conduct testing of upgrades as necessary.

Extract data from the database and generate member reports for demographic analysis and historical comparisons, in addition to financial reports (annual membership/subscriptions, etc.) for operational needs.

Oversee member pricing for assigned societies, track annual updates, and distribute information to all relevant staff; assess member database and materials for pricing accuracy and consistency.

Collaborate with the Information Systems department on new online transactional tools (application/renewal), ensuring the user experience meets expectations.
Manage the membership application and renewal processes for assigned societies, seeking enhancements through improved technology as appropriate.
Execute necessary month-end procedures related to membership processing.
Monitor general email accounts as assigned and ensure timely and accurate responses.
Regularly check assigned Public Shared Folders multiple times daily.
Provide exceptional administrative support to assigned societies, in collaboration with Membership Experience Managers and other staff. Enhance support and service by addressing customer needs promptly and efficiently.
WEBINARS & PODCASTS

Oversee assigned aspects of the webinar programs and podcasts for designated societies, including facilitating the identification, selection, and scheduling of topics and speakers.

Compile and maintain data on all previous webinars and podcasts, including registration figures and satisfaction ratings. Provide reports as required.

Compile and maintain a list of topic suggestions from members, meetings, and webinar surveys and share with the Content Strategist, Education, and other relevant staff.

Develop an efficient process for members/committees to submit webinar requests. Regularly communicate the process to members and staff to ensure year-round awareness. Ensure the process includes appropriate deadlines that allow sufficient time for a webinar/podcast to be created and promoted effectively.
Provide orientation to moderators and presenters as needed.
Offer video editing support as required.
Identify potential sponsorship opportunities and communicate these ideas to the sales team.

LABORATORY PROFICIENCY PROGRAMS
Manage subscription and renewal processes for the CGA Laboratory Proficiency programs, including communication with Finance and AOCS regarding quotations, new subscribers, payments, and updated contacts.
Coordinate the procurement and shipping of samples through external vendors and in-house staff.
Manage communication with subscribers and prospects regarding changes in the program.
Provide customer support to subscribers as needed.
Communicate with sample suppliers to ensure adequate inventory.
Participate in developing marketing strategies and review materials for accuracy.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Manage other projects as assigned.

Act as a liaison for assigned committees, providing support to execute committee tasks including notifying volunteers of deadlines, collecting reports, coordinating conference calls, and ensuring actions are implemented.

Provide exceptional administrative support to assigned societies, in conjunction with Membership Experience Managers and Membership Specialists. Enhance support and service by responding to customer needs promptly and efficiently.
Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization's activities.
Create and update websites as needed for any assigned projects.

Coordinate all assigned committees with designated staff, ensuring accurate recording of position terms and rosters in iMIS, and perform quality checks as needed for dynamic listings on websites.

Provide support for Officer elections as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience (association and/or iMIS database experience preferred, but not required).

Ability to work in a collaborative environment; fully remote is possible for the right candidate.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and editing skills, proficient project management techniques, marketing acumen, and advanced computer skills.

Ability to coordinate and manage multi-faceted programs and projects; multi-task and work independently and efficiently under deadlines; maintain quality focus, and work effectively with and gain input from various audiences.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter who is results-oriented.
Positive customer service attitude is essential.
