Objective:

Ensure the upkeep and repair of property plumbing, appliances, HVAC systems, and various equipment to maintain optimal functionality and condition.

Address maintenance requests and support unit transitions.

Real Estate Equities is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to become part of our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and promote positive resident relations
Contribute effectively as a member of the on-site team
Manage daily service request system and ensure completion of service tasks
Conduct follow-up communications on service requests as needed
Uphold preventive maintenance schedules and execute maintenance tasks
Preserve the aesthetic appeal of the community
Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled
Carry out apartment turnover responsibilities
Repair and replace household appliances
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Oversee maintenance inventory
Ensure a safe and organized maintenance shop, storage, and mechanical areas
Maintain lockout/tagout procedures for keys
Keep accurate records of apartment history, lighting, and snow removal logs
Collaborate with contractors for snow removal, landscaping, etc.
Monitor HVAC systems
Maintain swimming pools, if applicable, either at your location or in an on-call capacity
Perform snow shoveling and sweeping duties
Work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation
Other responsibilities as assigned

Position Requirements:
Must hold relevant licenses & certifications, such as a Boiler's License and CPO within one year of employment
Valid driver's license, insurance, and dependable transportation
Participate in on-call rotation
Minimum of 3 years of prior maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge of fundamental maintenance repairs is essential
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel to on-call properties and procure supplies as needed

Physical Demands:
Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pulling, and pushing
Ability to work with hands elevated and perform tasks while on a ladder
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to chest height
Work with and around mold, dust, paint, and chemicals while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment
Full Time, 40 hours per week.
