Job Opportunity

SEnergy is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Engineer to join our Business Consulting Team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Track new developments and emerging issues for electric utility regulatory agencies, including NERC, FERC, TRE, ERCOT, PUCT, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Issue Review: Review emerging issues with clients' staff, jointly determining whether individual issues require further monitoring or immediate action, including filing comments as needed.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit applicable reports to TRE, NERC, ERCOT, and other agencies as needed, assist with preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and submissions.
  • Compliance Documentation: Lead and support the development of key compliance documents, including compliance planning documents, standards-based policy and procedures, and other compliance plans and documentation.
  • Regulatory Review: Review all mandatory NERC O&P and CIP standards, ERCOT requirements, and PUC requirements.
  • Compliance Meetings: Conduct compliance review meetings and provide feedback to clients' compliance teams as needed.
  • Distributed Generation: Lead the development of Distributed Generation guidelines, policies, and procedures for MOU and Cooperative clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years' experience in transmission design or transmission planning and relevant experience with NERC, TRE, PUCT, and ERCOT regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional computer skills, with emphasis on engineering software, project management, Microsoft Word, and Excel applications. Strong skills in time management, organizational, and multi-tasking. AutoCAD experience preferred.
