We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Penn Medicine. As a member of our Shared Services Ortho department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our academic medical center.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in outpatient settings and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, including administering medications, performing electrocardiograms, and collecting and testing specimens.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and give injections and vaccines
  • Perform electrocardiograms and screening tests
  • Collect and test specimens, and prepare them for transport as necessary
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, and report abnormal results to the provider
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment and instruments
  • Maintain medication storage closets
  • Participate in orienting new team members

Credentials:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
  • BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Practice Nursing School (Required)
  • 1+ years Outpatient experience (Preferred)
