Zurich Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Legal Claims Professional to join our Management Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex claims and providing expert advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to determine the best course of action for each claim.
- Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements to resolve disputes in a fair and timely manner.
- Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters to ensure that our clients are fully informed.
- Notify Underwriters of claim issues and work closely with them to resolve any concerns.
- Draft case summary reports to provide a clear and concise overview of each claim.
- Direct activities of defense counsel to ensure that our clients receive the best possible representation.
- Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the legal field.
- JD and 5 or more years of legal practice experience in the insurance industry.
- Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
- Experience in insurance claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment.
- Negotiation experience and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Member of the Bar.
- Claims handling experience with at least 5 or more years in professional liability, D&O, and/or insurance coverage defense.
- Insurance designations such as SCLA, CPCU, AIC.
