Design Professional Claims Specialist
Axalta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Professional Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving professional liability claims for architects and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage Design Professional liability claims across multiple jurisdictions, including initial review, coverage evaluation, and developing resolution strategies.
- Use robust technical skills and subject matter expertise to handle complex and difficult claims within authority level, with a focus on setting timely and appropriate reserves.
- Partner with defense counsel in setting and pursuing effective and cost-efficient litigation strategies consistent with AXA XL litigation management best practices.
- Evaluate settlement value and negotiate claims and litigated matters within authority, as well as participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
- Coordinate and manage communications with internal colleagues and key external stakeholders, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure all documentation is present in the claim file and that Claims Handler Guidelines and protocols are followed.
- Maintain high-quality relationships with insureds and brokers through frequent contact and responsiveness to their needs.
- Active participation in marketing and promotional activities with some component of public speaking.
