The Electronics engineering team at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense is expanding rapidly to enhance the development of Flight Termination Systems and Tactical electronics tailored for Space & Defense applications.

We are seeking a dedicated engineer for the role of Electronics Development Engineer, who will report directly to the Product Development Lead.

This position is accountable for the overall technical performance of both internal and external projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate within a cross-functional team, engaging in all technical facets of the program from initial concept through development, qualification, and production phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and validate technical requirements
  • Assess and analyze technical risks, developing and executing risk mitigation strategies
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and coordination of technical data packages
  • Conduct hands-on testing of electronic assemblies in a development laboratory environment
  • Participate in environmental and dynamic testing of development, qualification, and production assemblies
  • Manage technical communications with clients
  • Lead internal Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Generate comprehensive technical reports for complex development tests and analyses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing electronic components and systems
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional project teams
  • Experience in performing Root Cause Analysis
  • Familiarity with safety-critical Aerospace & Defense electronics products is preferred
