Position Overview

Role Summary:

EBAD is on the lookout for a proactive and driven individual to fill the role of Electronics Quality Inspector, who will report directly to the Quality Engineering Lead for Electronics.

The Quality Inspector will be primarily tasked with the evaluation of incoming materials, ongoing assemblies, final assemblies, and the completion of manufacturing documentation for a range of electronic and electromechanical assemblies that support the Electronics Value Stream. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inspections of electronic components, bare PCBs, in-process and finished PCBAs, cable assemblies, and all related documentation.
  • Performing inspections of electronics in accordance with IPC and J-STD standards (Soldering, Crimping, Staking, Coating, Potting, etc.).
  • Measuring products to verify dimensional compliance and documenting inspection results in a clear and organized manner.
  • Reviewing manufacturing build records to ensure all procedures have been accurately documented.
  • Conducting in-process inspections of general workmanship and compliance with technical data packages.
  • Properly documenting and managing non-conforming products.
  • Establishing and maintaining the inspection area in line with 5S principles.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Electronics Inspection (Component Inspection, PCB Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, and knowledge of IPC & J-STD specifications).
  • IPC-A-610 Inspection Certification (current or previously held).
  • Exceptional attention to detail regarding workmanship and precise documentation.
  • Ability to create accurate records of inspections conducted and generate discrepancy reports.
  • Conducting visual, dimensional, first piece, and final inspections of detailed parts and assemblies.
  • Capability to adhere to procedures with varying levels of detail.
  • Effective time management skills to complete assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • A high school diploma is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Reviewing and accepting AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports from suppliers.
  • IPC-A-620 Inspection Certification.
  • J-STD-001 Space Addendum Inspection Certification.
