Position Overview

EBAD is in search of a dedicated and proactive individual for the role of Electronics Quality Inspector, reporting directly to the Quality Engineering Lead for Electronics.

The Quality Inspector will be chiefly accountable for evaluating incoming materials, overseeing in-process assemblies, and verifying final assemblies and manufacturing documentation for a diverse range of electronic and electro-mechanical products within the Electronics Value Stream. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inspections of electronic components, bare PCBs, in-process and finished PCBAs, cable assemblies, and all related documentation.
  • Performing inspections in accordance with IPC and J-STD standards (Soldering, Crimping, Staking, Coating, Potting, etc.).
  • Measuring products to ensure dimensional compliance and accurately recording inspection results in an organized manner.
  • Reviewing manufacturing build records to confirm that all procedures have been documented correctly.
  • Conducting in-process inspections to assess general workmanship and compliance with technical data packages.
  • Documenting and managing non-conforming products appropriately.
  • Establishing and maintaining the inspection area in line with 5S principles.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Electronics Inspection (Component Inspection, PCB Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, and knowledge of IPC & J-STD specifications).
  • Current or previously held IPC-A-610 Inspection Certification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail regarding workmanship and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to generate precise records of inspections conducted and prepare discrepancy reports.
  • Conducting visual, dimensional, first piece, and final inspections of intricate parts and assemblies.
  • Capability to adhere to both loosely defined and strictly detailed procedures.
  • Effective time management skills to complete assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • A high school diploma is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in reviewing and accepting AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports from suppliers.
  • IPC-A-620 Inspection Certification.
  • J-STD-001 Space Addendum Inspection Certification.
