Employee Relations Specialist

Ampcus is seeking a skilled Employee Relations Specialist to play a critical role in maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for handling employee matters with sensitivity and discretion, ensuring that all interactions are aligned with our company's values and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with internal investigations, coordinating with internal partners to collect and prepare documentation, exhibits, and timelines.
  • Ensure that all employee matters are handled with a consistent and focused approach, aligned with our company's vision and values.
  • Manage ADA requests in accordance with applicable laws and company policies, demonstrating a good understanding of the interactive process.
  • Record and track ER data in a thorough and timely manner, maintaining accurate records using proper documentation standards.
  • Develop and complete required reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve employee relations and practices.
  • Act as an intake point of contact for employees with concerns about employee relations matters, particularly ADA Accommodation requests and leaves.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues, escalating cases as needed with ER leadership.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, as needed, to support the smooth operation of the HR team.
Examples of Tasks:
  • Assist with getting FMLA claims raised, sending and tracking ADA paperwork, raising separations in the separation system, and updating separation details.
Core Competencies / Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • Associate's (Bachelor's preferred) degree in HR Management or related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1-4 years of relevant work experience in HR, preferably as a HR Generalist, BPHR/HRBP handling Employee Relations.
  • Team player with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of US local, state, and Federal employment laws and regulations, including the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • Ability to multitask, manage a fluctuating workload, and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and ability to work from an office, up to 40 hours per week, as required.
