Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Coordinate functions and activities for all surgical specialties, maintaining appropriate supplies, instruments, vendor needs, and physician preferences.
  • Cover specialty services in the absence of the RN specialty leader.
  • Assist in orienting new hires and training staff for surgical specialties, including procedures, equipment, new technology, and changes in clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Two years of surgical tech experience.
  • Experience in a specialty field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in all service lines.
  • Computer skills required.
  • HS/GED required.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
