  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, prepare laboratory samples, conduct basic tests on-site, and manage medical supplies.
  • Educate patients on medication and dietary guidelines, addressing any questions they may have.
  • Document patient examinations, treatments, and test outcomes accurately.
  • Facilitate revenue generation by recording billing details for services rendered and managing insurance documentation.
  • Maintain inventory levels by monitoring supplies and placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure the functionality of medical equipment by adhering to operational guidelines and performing routine maintenance.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by following established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct daily temperature checks for medical storage units and perform sterilization of instruments as per schedule.
  • Prepare examination rooms to ensure they are adequately stocked and ready for patient visits.
  • Assist in the management of provider schedules and coordinate referrals, tracking laboratory and radiology results.
  • Support healthcare providers during minor surgical procedures and administer immunizations as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors that align with the role and comply with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of office procedures and excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a commitment to effective communication.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
  • Dependable with a flexible work schedule and a professional demeanor.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification as a CMA or RMA is required.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
