Business Office Representative

At SCA Health, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Representative Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our business operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgery center.
Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the facility by performing various business office functions, including medical records, credentialing, admissions, accounts payable, billing, collections, and insurance verification.
- Schedule surgeries and handle calls from physician offices to confirm patient information and surgery details.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-registration and obtain authorization from physician offices prior to surgery.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, including cancelled appointments and patient financial information.
- Perform various clerical duties, such as photocopying, mailing surveys, and preparing patient charts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in healthcare, with a minimum of one year of experience in surgery scheduling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities.
- Ability to handle stress and work flexible hours.
