About the JobAnixter Center is seeking a skilled Grants Development Specialist to join its finance team. This role involves managing grant applications, contracts, and other agreements from internal and external funding sources. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant proposals, facilitating administrative and technical functions associated with grants, and acting as a liaison between program staff and granting agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to transform ideas into successful grant submissions
  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis of new grant opportunities
  • Implement awarded grants and develop reports that meet grant requirements
  • Maintain a work plan and calendar of planned grant submissions

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in grants administration
  • Experience with State of Illinois contracting and procurement preferred
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong affinity for Anixter's mission and values
