Our state-of-the-art facility operates around the clock, providing specialized services in internal medicine, critical care, radiology, and cardiology. We are equipped with a comprehensive in-house laboratory, advanced imaging technologies, and specialized equipment for various procedures.

Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant in our Emergency/Critical Care unit, your responsibilities will include:
  • Work Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts, Daytime hours.
  • Providing care for diverse cases in Emergency and Specialty Medicine.
  • Prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks effectively. Triage critical patients, monitor changes in their condition, and communicate updates to the veterinarian.
  • Evaluating the needs of hospitalized patients and conveying pertinent information to the supervising veterinarian.
  • Administering inpatient treatments and nursing care throughout your shift.
  • Calculating and administering medications, fluid additives, and continuous rate infusions.
  • Collaborating with veterinarians in patient evaluations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Collecting and processing laboratory samples including blood, urine, and free fluid.
  • Managing the placement and upkeep of nasogastric tubes, nasal cannulas, and central venous catheters.
  • Utilizing various imaging modalities for patient assessments.
  • Monitoring and recovering patients from sedation and anesthetic procedures.
  • Assisting in minor surgical procedures.
Our compensation for this position typically ranges from $24.00 to $32.00 per hour. Pay is determined by experience, skill level, and licensure. Additional shift differentials are available for evening and overnight shifts.
Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital environment is essential. At least 1 year of experience in Emergency and Critical Care is preferred.
  • RVT or VTS credentials are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required.
  • Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and familiarity with radiographic techniques is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and a commitment to fostering long-term relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • A positive attitude and capability to work effectively within a team.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on providing outstanding client service.
