Veterinary Technician or Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our Emergency/Critical Care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with our veterinarians to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Triage incoming patients and manage patients/clients throughout their visit.
- Partner with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment.
- Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
- Surgical assisting for minor (non-specialty) procedures.
- Assess hospitalized patients needs and communicate details to the DVM overseeing the case.
- Inpatient treatments and nursing care throughout the shift.
- Calculate and administer medication, fluid additives, CRI's
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting. 1 year of ECC experience is preferred. RVT, VTS, or VACSP preferred but not required. Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring. Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required.
Positive outlook and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required. Passion for providing the highest quality in patient care. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.
