Service Center Support Specialist

At FedEx Ground, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Center Support PT to join our team. As a Service Center Support PT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service center, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and manage freight documentation, including verifying and completing required documentation and reports.
- Perform administrative and clerical functions, including data entry, filing, and answering phones.
- Assist with freight pick-up and delivery processes, including making appointments and coordinating with drivers.
- Review and reconcile cash and checks collected, prepare deposits, and prepare COD check remittance to customers.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of general office experience preferred.
- One year of customer service experience preferred.
- Previous transportation experience preferred.
- Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to count and perform basic math.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend FedEx service products and assist customers with their needs.
- Ability to use general office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
- Typing and data entry skills.
- PC experience with the ability to learn required computer systems and programs.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
- Office/dock environment.
- Fast-paced; deadline-oriented.
- Hours may vary due to operational needs.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $20.07 - $23.50 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, employee assistance program, personal/sick paid time, educational assistance program, 401(k) retirement savings plan, FedEx shipping discount, and vacation time.
