At our Insulation Systems facility, we are seeking a Production Operator who thrives in a collaborative team setting. The Production Operator operates under the general oversight of the shift supervisor, managing the bagging machinery to optimize output while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Our facility is dedicated to producing substantial quantities of premium blown wool insulation for contractors and retail clients.
This role involves working 8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, providing a structured work-life balance.

Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to safe work practices; report hazardous conditions promptly; maintain security protocols; and wear protective gear as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment, ensuring a tidy workspace.
- Monitor equipment performance and take corrective actions when issues arise.
- Assist with maintenance tasks, including cleaning ducts, chains, fans, and other equipment during downtimes.
- Operate fork/clamp trucks as required.
- Perform hand taping and stacking when automated equipment is unavailable.
- Maintain the bag house by changing dust bags as needed.
- Execute painting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Load and manage scrap materials.
- Operate manual stretch wrapping equipment.
- Train less experienced team members as necessary.
- Conduct general facility cleanup and janitorial duties.
- Provide coverage for colleagues during breaks and lunch periods.
- Perform recycling duties as per guidelines.
- Sort and fill bags on the bagging unit.
- Assist with bagging operations as needed.
- Ensure units are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures
- Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions
- Capability to work independently
- Adaptability to learn and adjust to changes
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and equipment
