Job Title: Production Supervisor

At Sterling Engineering Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production facility, ensuring the efficient processing of products, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and Assign Work: Plan and coordinate production schedules, assign tasks to production employees, and ensure smooth production flow.
  • Supervise Operations: Monitor production activities, including union workforce management, and maintain production targets while ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster a positive work environment, build strong relationships with employees, and hold them accountable for their performance.
  • Oversee Production Activities: Ensure compliance with quality standards, monitor equipment efficiency, and timely repair of any malfunctions.
  • Promote Safety and Quality: Promote and enforce safety regulations, conduct accident investigations, and participate in safety meetings and training.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or beverage production.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work rotating schedules.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Manufacturing Process Flow: Strong understanding of manufacturing process flow and continuous improvement principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent supervisory, training, and personnel management skills, with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Team Environment: Ability to collaborate effectively and foster a positive team environment.
