Position Overview:
Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 dedicated Assembly Inspectors for a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Summary:
This role involves the thorough inspection of assemblies and subassemblies, including various system installations such as hydraulics and plumbing. The position also encompasses the evaluation of paint, peening, machining, and processing of parts and assemblies within assembly areas. Additionally, it includes the inspection and management of obsolete materials and parts for proper disposition and disposal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess sequences of assembly and functional testing inspections on completed subassemblies, assemblies, integral tanks, and major aerospace structures, utilizing directives, blueprints, specifications, 3D models, and other standards.
  • Evaluate layouts derived from blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine exact locations and dimensions using precision measuring tools as necessary.
  • Inspect fittings and installations based on the aforementioned layouts to ensure acceptable workmanship, functionality, and completeness.
  • Conduct inspections of fastener installations, part placements, riveting, and detail parts, including processing operations within assembly areas.
  • Oversee the MRB containment/segregation area, process all types of rejects, and manage the physical scrapping and disposal of scrap parts and materials.
  • Perform tasks incidental to the completion of assigned duties, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the work area as directed.
  • Utilize computer systems for labor tracking, accessing work instructions, and recording task completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of experience as an aircraft assembler with a proven ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel, is essential. Ability to document work tasks and a willingness to learn Catia software is required.

Education:
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position on the first shift, following a 5/40 work schedule.
