Telecom Fiber Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Fiber Inspector to join our team at TechServ Engineering & Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our fiber optic network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The Telecom Fiber Inspector will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Reviewing and enforcing safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure compliance with engineering design drawings and Utilities Telecom construction standards.

• Conducting site visits to verify that contractors are adhering to specifications and standards.

• Managing and reporting potential contractibility issues prior to the start of construction.

• Maintaining a professional working relationship with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and the general public.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Telecom Fiber Inspector must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.

• Familiarity with OSHA Standard Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, including Standard 1926 Subpart V - Power Transmission and Distribution.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and internet/intranet applications.

• Proficiency in standard construction practices and safe operation of construction equipment.

• OSHA 30 hour training.

• Ability to work effectively in group settings, social events, and governmental agencies.

• Ability to interface effectively with internal and external clients at all levels.

• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Ability to travel for the majority of the work and maintain a continuous presence on assignments.

• Adequate physical condition to withstand outdoor work and wear required PPE.

• Valid driver's license.
