Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geologist to support the Environmental business line in our Charleston, SC office. This position will primarily work on Department of Defense (DoD) projects, utilizing basic scientific principles to develop solutions for technical problems.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Preparing technical work plans and reports.
  • Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, and comparing findings to relevant studies and regulations.
  • Planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting on environmental measures in natural systems.
  • Applying standard field practices and techniques to collect samples and prepare data for shipping.
  • Applying knowledge of natural sciences to explain observations and determine how to restore the environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or related discipline + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in geology or related discipline.
  • Professional registration or on track to obtain.
  • Ability to travel for fieldwork and/or meetings.
