Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Geologist to lead environmental projects as a task leader. The successful candidate will have a BS in Geology or Engineering and a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects.

The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors, with flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects. Field work will be required, including travel and oversight of subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead environmental projects as a task leader
  • Work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors
  • Travel and oversee subcontractors
  • Write field observations, data collection, and field data interpretation sections of reports
  • Project and task management, client interaction, proposal writing, cost estimating, remedial systems design, and mentoring
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Geology or Engineering plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Ability to travel
  • Licensed Geologist or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (or eligible to complete upon hire)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken communication, organization, time management
