Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator is a vital member of our team, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. As a key contributor to our department, you will work closely with licensed nurses to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and record patient data, reporting information and observations in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, nutritional intake and output.
  • Perform routine urinary catheter care and collect and transport specimens as requested.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and maintaining continence.
  • Complete and maintain unit and patient records, files, forms, and documents related to work area management and patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. You should also be able to maintain confidentiality about patient information and relate professionally and positively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels.
