Position Overview:

Becker Wright Consultants is looking for a dedicated Project Management Specialist to enhance our operations and support our growth initiatives. The successful candidate will have a solid background in project management techniques and tools, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully while adhering to established budgets and timelines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for navigating conflicts and complex negotiations effectively.

Compensation: $60,600.00 to $90,000.00, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Role Summary:

The Project Management Specialist will be responsible for fostering client relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. This role encompasses overseeing all aspects of project execution, from initial development and cost estimation to final project delivery and closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage interactions with key stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, detailers, and construction teams, to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Evaluate plans and proposals to establish appropriate strategies for achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Document all project details meticulously.
  • Track project-related expenses and collaborate with project executives and senior management regarding budgetary considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and terms.
  • Adhere to AISC policies and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Oversee the accounting of project change orders, including budget estimations for these adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Familiarity with the steel construction sector, including AISC standards and AWS codes.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints.
  • Proactive in anticipating project needs.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Experience in project management within the construction or manufacturing industries.
