About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. As a key member of our Air & Missile Defense Software Department, you will work on the Patriot Information Coordination Central (ICC) Software Development Team, developing cutting-edge software solutions for the world's pre-eminent air defense system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in internal review of software components and systems, ensuring adherence to established development practices and processes.
  • Work closely with Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Occasional light travel and off-hours testing may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with Ada programming language and Unix/Linux operating system.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle, and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to produce technical documentation and learn new technologies and tools.

  • Competitive salary range: $77,000 - $163,000.
