About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. As a member of our Air & Missile Defense Software Department, you will work on the Patriot Information Coordination Central (ICC) Software Development Team, developing cutting-edge software solutions for the world's pre-eminent air defense system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, including new work products and enhancements to existing applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering to ensure seamless software development and integration.
  • Participate in internal review of software components and systems to ensure technical excellence.
  • Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
  • Work closely with Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in Software Engineering, with a focus on real-time embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in Ada Programming Language and experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.
