Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at Southeastern Grocers. As a key member of our Asset Protection department, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets and ensuring the safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine targeted analytics to support investigations of high center store and fresh inventory shrink to determine the root cause.
  • Analyze SKU level inventory data, identify theft trends, and validate losses in the areas of internal, external, and vendor theft.
  • Perform reverse engineering of shrink-related issues to identify the root cause and make recommendations to minimize future exposure by implementing controls.
  • Develop standardized reports that provide asset protection and its business partners with reporting metrics designed to identify loss trends by store, district, region, and company.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on the root cause of robberies, burglaries, internal and external theft, and all incidents occurring on company properties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least two years' experience in asset protection/loss prevention, forensic accounting, auditing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forensic audit tasks and investigations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Forensic Interviewers (CFI)/Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE)/Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Financial acumen, flexibility, resiliency, and self-direction.
  • Proficiency using database systems (e.g., Hyperion).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population.
Working Conditions

This position requires occasional travel, including overnight stays, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and comply with all company policies and procedures.
