IT Asset Management Specialist

Overview:

  • Oversees the administration of IT assets, including inventory management and technical service agreements. Responsible for maintaining and updating software licensing information.
  • Collaborates with the IT Procurement Manager to establish company-wide IT purchasing standards and protocols.
  • Develops and manages comprehensive asset management systems, acting as a liaison with Finance and Legal departments regarding relevant functions.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate and legal standards in the management of IT hardware and software assets.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements asset management solutions for all IT-related technical assets.
  • Supports the Finance department by providing essential asset data and overseeing physical inventory control.
  • Defines asset acquisition requirements and procedures, including management and disposal strategies for the organization.
  • Prepares asset budgets, coordinates with IT Procurement on purchase order processing, invoice management, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Requires extensive experience in asset and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant business experience, including leadership of teams focused on asset management, finance, procurement, or service contract oversight.

Scope:

  • Middle management level role.
  • Operates under the general guidance of senior management.
  • Typically supervises and mentors supervisors, project leads, and/or technical personnel.
  • Leads multiple complex projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Regularly reports to senior IT executives.
