Control Center Operator I

Monitor and maintain the automation control points for Fort Eisenhower Military Base, with a focus on the HVAC base-wide system. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of the control room.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor alarms and troubleshoot issues from the control room.
- Create service orders for trouble calls and dispatch UMCS Automation Technicians as needed.
- Log and create Dig Permit work orders.
- Maintain tracking logs for all trouble calls and alarms.
- Prepare reports from database and create point-to-point spreadsheets for UMCS Automation Technicians.
- Develop and maintain building set points and time-of-day scheduling for energy management and human comfort using GPL.
- Monitor utility prices and alert management to potential cost savings opportunities.
- Take appropriate actions during utility load shed events and monitor post consumption of natural gas during service curtailment periods.
- React to electrical power outages and document events for after-action reports.
- Identify areas for process improvement and discuss solutions with supervisor.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Strong customer service and office environment experience are also essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software is required. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups is necessary. This role requires the ability to work autonomously without direct supervision and to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Work Environment
This role is based in a quiet office environment with occasional exposure to moderate noise levels. The physical demands of this role include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching are also required.
