We are seeking a seasoned HVAC Refrigeration Systems Specialist to join our engineering team at AccorHotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems with at least 10 years of experience. This role involves maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Performing routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Replacing defective parts and components.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Keeping detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicating effectively with superiors to explain issues and solutions.
  • Working independently or as part of a team.
  • Performing emergency repairs as needed.
  • Testing refrigeration systems for leaks and other issues.
  • Calibrating refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Training and mentoring engineers.
  • Collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Ensuring proper disposal of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assisting with all duties in the Engineering Department.
  • Keeping a detailed logbook.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in refrigeration or HVAC technology preferred.
  • EPA certification card.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in HVAC and refrigeration repair.
  • Ability to keep detailed records and documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
