Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Starting up, troubleshooting, and performing tests on our standard product line, including the calibration and operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Performing basic final assembly work.
  • Ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Implementing and improving procedures.
  • Gathering and documenting pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes.
  • Maintaining standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard.
  • Participating in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products.
  • Implementing and participating in Lean and 5S processes and projects.
  • Working closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Competent with computers, including Google suites preferred.
  • Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) preferred.
