Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at a leading testing systems/equipment manufacturing company in Acton, MA. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment, with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Start up, troubleshoot, and perform tests on our standard product line, including the calibration and operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality
  • Perform basic final assembly work
  • Ensure products meet quality and performance standards
  • Implement and improve procedures
  • Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes
  • Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard
  • Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products
  • Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects
  • Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems
  • Competent with computers, including Google suites preferred
  • Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred
  • Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) preferred
