Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals to join our team at PearlCare Search Group. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting wellness.

PearlCare Search Group is currently working with multiple healthcare organizations with needs in their Adult Day Services, Group Homes, and Case Management sites.

Job Details:

  • Job Title: RN & LPN - (OPWDD) - Developmental Disabilities
  • Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem, Temporary
  • Pay: $48.00 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 12 – 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general health issues for individuals in Residential programs or day programs
  • Monitor medication and medical records for individuals receiving services
  • Consult with medical professionals to ensure optimal medical treatments are provided to individuals being supported
  • Supervise direct support professional (DSP) staff administration of medication to individuals receiving services
  • Ensure medical follow-up occurs in a timely manner
  • Ensure individuals are receiving prescribed medications, treatments, and nutrition/diet as ordered
  • Accompany/transport individuals to appointments when needed, due to staffing needs
  • Maintain accurate mandated medical records
  • Attend internal team meetings as scheduled

Qualifications & Work Experience:

  • 1-2 years nursing experience is preferred
  • New Grads will be considered
  • Valid NYS nursing license in good standing is required
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is preferred
  • Valid NYS Driver's license is preferred
  • CPR Certified is required
  • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items required
  • Organizational skills, and Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, individuals served, families, and outside contacts is essential
