Job Summary:

Analyze risk factors for new enrollments, annual renewals, and amendments of group/individual insurance contracts or self-funded plans in accordance with established underwriting policies, practices, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a block of business (new or renewal) or assigned accounts.
  • Interpret risk and apply pricing policies to account for unusual situations.
  • Identify questionable claim patterns on in-force accounts or prospects.
  • Apply Corporate Risk Management policies to address unforeseen situations.
  • Monitor compliance with Corporate Underwriting policies.
  • Meet production and timeliness standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or other quantitative analysis disciplines.

Substitutions:

  • 6 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred:

  • 1 year of relevant insurance industry experience.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, electronic tools, and applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
