Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Electric Boat. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex technical projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kickoff of Design/Drawing Development projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Provide System Level analysis of Government Furnished Information (GFI), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Cognizant Engineer support to all projects assigned, ensuring technical expertise and guidance.
  • Provide Project Management, Technical leadership, and Project Quality to all projects assigned, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical review of design drawings, cable test procedures, engineer changes, manual change requests, and liaison action requests, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • 4-15 years of relevant experience or Military (Navy) experience.
  • Eligible for a Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working successfully both in a team environment and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Submarine qualified Forward Electronics rating with a technical background in Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) desired.
  • Three years or more Systems Engineering experience and leadership expertise desired.
  • Experience with Submarine Ship Alterations and Engineering Changes desired.
Skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule work, multi-task, and to direct others to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
