Key Responsibilities

Conducts Comprehensive Maintenance on H-53 Naval Aircraft Mechanical Systems.

  • The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for interpreting blueprints, job orders, engineering specifications, and maintenance instructions to disassemble, repair, rework, and install various aircraft systems and components, including wings, control surfaces, landing gear, fuel cells, and engines. Personnel will also install hydraulic tubing and actuating cylinders, and perform preflight tests on flight systems.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Executing installation, adjustment, alignment, and troubleshooting for operational testing on major aircraft weapon systems and components.
  • Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in aircraft systems and components, determining necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling major aircraft systems and their components.
  • Connecting and adjusting related systems to ensure proper operation of newly installed or repaired units.
  • Performing engine removals and installations, jacking and leveling, and conducting routine maintenance tasks.
  • Inspecting, maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and testing H-53 aircraft fuel systems and components.
  • Fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines, and modifying aircraft fuel equipment as required.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to all training and administrative requirements set forth by the company and clients.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of NAMP Programs and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Relevant experience as an aircraft mechanic or in military aviation.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to pass a background investigation for Secret Clearance.
    • U.S. Citizenship is required for access to U.S. data systems.
    • Successful completion of a NACI, which may include a credit check.
    • Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy, including pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Skills & Technology Proficiency

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in problem-solving and organizational techniques.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train others and provide customer service.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with general office equipment.
