Job Summary

KCI Telecommunications is seeking a skilled Access Control and Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining access control and fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and program access control equipment, including motion detectors, cameras, card readers, and turnstiles
  • Install, wire, and mount access control panels and CCTV systems
  • Program card readers for door access and IP addresses for cameras
  • Install and maintain access control systems, CCTV systems, and network video management software
  • Regularly install, terminate, and test Category 5e/6, Fiber, and access control cabling in compliance with state/local codes
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment and follow the RMA process
  • Assist with closet buildouts, including ladder rack, equipment racks, and wire management
  • IP, program, and troubleshoot CCTV and access control devices, and install and configure wireless devices
  • Practice workplace safety, provide daily feedback to the team, and provide excellent customer service
  • Accurately communicate site conditions, progress, updates, and issues
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic security installation for fire alarm, burglary alarm, and access control systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
