Position Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care and facilitating care coordination within the Temple Health University System. This position is essential in enhancing patient access and ensuring high-quality care across various medical disciplines.

Role Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Provider collaborates with healthcare teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize care coordination and improve patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
  • Diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Providing counseling on preventive healthcare measures.
  • Assisting in surgical procedures.
  • Prescribing medications in accordance with licensure guidelines and in collaboration with supervising physicians.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:
Mandatory certifications include:
- MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant
