Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator at DSV plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating service requests from clients, aiming to surpass their expectations while achieving key performance indicators. Success in this role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a strong understanding of systems and vendor capabilities. This position is essential for the effective coordination of transportation and operational activities for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage Trailer Interchanges for the Purchase Order fleet upon arrival and departure from any yard.
  • Maintain and report on mechanical repairs for the Purchase Order fleet.
  • Monitor and track the status of all Purchase Order fleet loads, both loaded and empty.
  • Update records in the Vehicle Fleet Tracking system for all Purchase Order fleet loads, collaborating closely with team members to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, partner vendors, and team members.
  • Ensure the achievement of relevant key performance indicators.
  • Accurately capture data and enter it into the system.
  • Support team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Provide both remote and on-site assistance to teams in the customer service department and at client locations.
  • Utilize quality processes to address customer service and vendor-related issues.
  • Assist with the initiation of new accounts.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of new service offerings.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues related to customer service, vendor partnerships, and internal team dynamics.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Engage in project work as necessary.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, customer service, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in typing and computer applications (Word/Excel).
Language Proficiency
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to use hands for various tasks, reach with arms, and communicate verbally. The role may involve using computer and telephone equipment, with specific vision requirements including close and distance vision.
