Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at Christus Health. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy, or radiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to their destinations in a timely and safe manner.
  • Retrieve medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications as required.
  • Prioritize duties to facilitate department flow and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ensure that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process.
  • Monitor the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with patient transportation, equipment maintenance, or other patient care-related activities is preferred.
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association).

Work Environment:

This is a per diem, as-needed position.
