Job Title: Medline Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medline Coordinator to join our team at Hamilton Health Center Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating medication refills, communicating with patients and pharmacies, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate medication refills, including investigating status and educating patients on refill policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and pharmacy staff, ensuring a positive image for Hamilton Health Center Inc.
  • Ensure accuracy in documenting medication refills within patient medical records.
  • Retrieve and review faxed medication refill requests, presenting them to providers in a timely manner.
  • Fax signed medication refill requests to identified pharmacies and document refills in patient charts.
  • Notify patients of denied refill requests and prepare prior authorizations as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Hamilton Health Center Inc.'s policies and procedures, promoting a team environment.
  • Suggest improvements to established procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.

Requirements:

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge and competency in taking vital signs, blood glucose finger stick, urinalysis test, hemoccult test, peek flow test, pregnancy test, EKG test, and phlebotomy.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in basic data entry computer skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Team Player: An industrious and cooperative nature to foster harmonious working relationships with clinic management, physicians, clinicians, and the public.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistance program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior CPR/First Aid certification.
  • One year of working experience in a medical or physician office setting.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission regulations.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, Nepali, French, Arabic.
