Job Title: VDI Configuration Specialist

At Motion Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled VDI Configuration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and configuring Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and configure VDI environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and engineering teams to ensure that virtual desktop environments meet technical and business requirements.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve VDI infrastructure and reduce downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest virtualization technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on virtualization and desktop technologies.
  • Experience with VDI solutions such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Hands-on experience with hypervisors (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with Windows server environments and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, load balancing, and firewall configurations in relation to VDI.
  • Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) related to VDI environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based VDI solutions and hybrid cloud infrastructure is a plus.
