Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Executive Director of Fundraising for Georgia and South Carolina to lead our mission-centric, locally delivered, and nationally powered organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving regional growth, executing organizational business strategy, and promoting the understanding of our mission and presence within designated markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mission & DEI Integration
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote the understanding of our mission and presence within designated markets.
    • Partner with departments and teams across the organization to lead and integrate the communication of our overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities into market-specific activities.
    • Lead regional strategy and programs to create an inclusive and equitable culture that represents the spectrum of diversity.
  • Financial Oversight & Management
    • Oversee overall revenue and Profit & Loss (P&L) statement responsibility for designated markets, including implementing our financial controls in regional operations.
    • Conduct annual strategic planning to maximize market potential in support of Territory goals.
    • Optimize revenue portfolio through strategic management of business development and major gifts prospects.
  • Operations Management
    • Lead the implementation of our business operational plans and standards, including contracts, procurement, event management, communication, use of technology, business continuity programs, and risk management.
    • Oversee market-specific activities to deliver brand-aligned events and initiatives.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management
    • Lead the employee lifecycle, including planning, acquiring, engaging, and developing of staff and teams.
    • Coach, develop, and manage regional leaders in charge of sales teams, peer-to-peer fundraising volunteer leadership committees, and business development and advancement relationships.
    • Lead succession planning in the region, including the identification of development and internal mobility opportunities to build leadership bench.
  • Volunteer Leadership and Management
    • Provide strong leadership and direction for staff and volunteer leaders in the development and implementation of operational plans.
    • Partner with and develop local volunteer leaders as brand ambassadors through strategic goal planning, cultivation, and connection to local high-level community leaders.
    • Lead and manage Region Board(s).
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience with a minimum of 3 years in senior management
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media, and emerging online channels
    Work Environment

The work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations. Weekend and evening work may be required. LLS has a 35-hour work week. Local travel approximately 50%-75% of time.
