About the Role

The Director of Operations and Strategy will provide strategic oversight for the day-to-day operations of the National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University. This role will involve administrative support to unit leaders, managing personnel issues, creating process mapping for internal actions, participating in HR processes, leading all aspects of facilities management, ensuring access to technology for all NISS employees, directing the invoicing and purchase order processes, and facilitating the contracting process for clients and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative direction and oversight of initiatives across NISS service areas to ensure operational efficiency, employee retention, efficient resource allocation, and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of University rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer equipment and information systems, such as Peoplesoft Spectrum, Salesforce, GSU Marketplace, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, etc.
  • Knowledge of business, financial management, and standard human resources practices.

Requirements
  • Master's degree and seven (7) years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Earned track record of success in academic and professional settings with a strong ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in supervising personnel and budget management.
  • Strong organizational acumen and a proclivity for attention to the details.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a wide range of professional and social settings.
