Job Summary:
The Patient Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the successful operation and customer service of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. This role is ideal for an energetic and entry-level manager seeking a career in the food service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient satisfaction by meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Provide alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets, considering food allergies, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Interact with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes.
- Resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and report to supervisor as necessary.
- Assist in food service-related activities, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2 years of food service experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
- Knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with management, clients, customers, and associates.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- ServSafe Certification is preferred.
