Purpose and Scope:

The Acute Dialysis Nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.

The nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure
  • 6 months of acute dialysis experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:

The Acute Dialysis Nurse will work in a hospital or dialysis center setting, providing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The nurse will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and move equipment.

Supervision:

The Acute Dialysis Nurse will report to a supervisor and will be responsible for overseeing the care of patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Education and Licensure:

The Acute Dialysis Nurse must have a current RN licensure and must meet the practice requirements in all states employed.
