The organization is committed to empowering veterans to achieve fulfilling lives by providing essential assistance in areas such as housing, healthcare, employment, and other critical services.
The Eligibility Coordinator will perform client screenings and intakes while offering administrative support for the Priority Veteran program, which facilitates Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing services for qualifying Veteran families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Veterans seeking housing assistance.
- Oversee the Priority Veteran intake line, managing calls from Veterans and referring them to appropriate service providers.
- Conduct preliminary screenings of potential clients via phone or in-person to assess program eligibility and connect ineligible clients with community resources.
- Respond promptly to all client inquiries and return voicemails in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate the details of the Priority Veteran program to prospective clients and the broader community.
- Ensure accurate documentation of pre-screenings in the Service Point system.
- Collect necessary documentation from veterans and perform eligibility assessments in accordance with grant guidelines.
- Schedule intakes and prepare necessary intake packets and materials for office use.
- Maintain awareness of additional resources available to veterans.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the PV and SSVF program guidelines as well as issues surrounding veteran homelessness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with occasional after-hours or weekend work and travel as required.
Compensation:
Hourly rate of $21.15
Annual Salary Range:
$40,000 - $44,000

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
- Military experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Aptitude for building rapport with clients experiencing homelessness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Client Management Systems.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required.
- Background checks will include criminal record, drug screening, and TB testing.
