Job Overview:

As a Surface Finishing Specialist, you will be integral to our production team, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Master the techniques of Cambria Lamination and Polishing as detailed in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Employ tools such as handsaws and grinders to execute precise finishing cuts on fabricated materials.
  • Polish surfaces to seamlessly blend joints and enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Utilize adhesive bonding agents to securely join countertop sections.
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections on completed items to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely transport large finished products.
  • Perform daily inspections of overhead crane equipment to maintain safety standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to effectively set up and operate lamination machinery.
  • Cross-train on various equipment to enhance operational flexibility.
  • Complete all necessary documentation with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Execute all job-related tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Demonstrate reliability by attending work consistently and being punctual for shifts.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in carpentry is preferred.
  • Experience in the stone industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency is essential.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
