Job Title: Support/Service Engineer

Join Bruker, a leading analytical instrumentation company, as a Support/Service Engineer and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and support.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support/Service Engineer to join our team. As a Support/Service Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and resolving customer issues, determining the necessary spare parts, and collaborating closely with all departments within our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer support and troubleshooting via phone and email
  • Analyze malfunctioning measurement systems and determine corrective action, replace faulty components, and make necessary adjustments and alignments
  • Manage spare parts for US stock
  • Prepare and submit reports covering all job activities with accuracy and detail
  • Participate in on-the-job training of field service personnel when required
  • Suggest methods to improve equipment performance and functionality
  • Stay up-to-date on new product and product changes within your required sphere of activity to increase your capabilities and skills
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by your manager or supervisor
  • Travel to customer locations 40% or less
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration according to written procedures
  • Conduct all field assignments according to service department procedures
Requirements:
  • AA degree or technical education in a field related to Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, diagnose, and repair complex equipment problems in a minimum amount of time
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer relations skills and the ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Familiarity with the operation and use of standard tools and electronic test equipment
  • Familiarity with the use of personal computers
  • Ability to travel by air and car both domestically and internationally if needed
